The sunrise view from my room was amazing, and I loved exploring the trails nearby after the monastery closed to tourists. The peaceful ambiance and unique architecture provided a nice experience.

What you'll love and hate
The location on the mountain is lovely! With easy access to the Cathedral and unique perks like attending Vespers and seeing the Black Virgin without extra tickets. A wonderful experience to feel the tranquility after hours!
Though the restaurant has limited options, some dishes felt overpriced and service was often slow, which detracted from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Prepare for some noise disturbances from outside, affecting sleep quality.

The personnel were extremely helpful and made me feel welcome. Got the same twin room booked online with the most magnificent view, modern bath and sound proof windows.

Room, location and breakfast
From our point of view, the price-performance ratio for dinner is not right: relatively high prices for little food.

The food is excellent. The location excellent, directly in the center of the entire complex of monasteries and rocks

The dinner in the restaurant was great-great quality and generous portions. The comfortable Twin Room provided ample space and cleanliness. Plus, the late checkout at 12pm meant we could squeeze in another hike.

The location is fantastic for families, right next to hiking trails and the amazing monastery. We enjoyed the boy's choir singing, and the restaurant offers simple yet satisfying meals.

Very nice staff, everyone was very helpful. The grounds and hotel are very well maintained and super clean. I did not realize how much there was to do up at the Monasterio. I'm very glad I've spent the night so I could get it all in. While you are there, it's like living in a little village with the greates view imaginable. Also, while I was there I was injured on my hike, and there was a medic on site that attended me free of charge.
Proximity to everything. Helpful staff. Stunning views.
The walls are very thin, you can hear conversations, coughing, sneezing very easily. It was not a problem for me, but if you are a light sleeper this may bother you. They have mandatory quiet hours after 10pm.

The room was comfortable and large. Bathroom was great. Also we loved the shrine and the hiking. Breakfast was great. Great food and wonderful coffee
The staff was a little snobby. They are doing construction and it was loud and disturbing. It was still going on at midnight and started at about 7:30. Not very conducive to peace and tranquility.
